Thank you for your interest in the Country Dreams radio show!

WHAT WE ARE

Country Dreams is a weekly, two-hour, country music show that is part Top 40 countdown show, part yesterdays classic favorites, and part independent artists that could be tomorrows big stars, all mixed together in a musical stew fans don't get anywhere else. The past, present, and future of country, so our show has a little something for everyone!

We've found that contemporary country fans like hearing music "that is so new it's still in diapers", so through the use of our own chart (which is a broader, more inclusive chart than most countdown shows), we catch rising stars sooner than other shows, ones they won't play for months (if at all), and that allows us to say, "we have the newest country music anywhere".

Classic country fans like the more traditional stuff, and some of todays hot new independents are carrying on that tradition. Plus some of the country legends are releasing brand new music that a lot of listeners don't even know about. We include it all. We are a countdown show and a classic country show, all in one.

WHO WE ARE

Al Shephard
Al Shephard
Producer & Host

In 2010, after meeting Ronnie Lee Hurst on a songwriting site, Al threw out the idea that he and Ronnie should host a new show devoted to independent country artists and singer/songwriters, and Country Dreams was born.

Over the years the show expanded to include some Top 40, Classic Country, and a little bluegrass, covering the past, present, and future of Country.

In 2013, Ronnie Lee left the show, and Jennifer Cook was invited to take over co-hosting duties. Later that year the show went on an 8 year hiatus.

In 2021, Al started producing new episodes and signed up new affiliates. The rest will be history!
